Sure, the Internet has introduced one more way for people to meet, but does that actually change the dating scene?

Interestingly, a friend of mine met his current wife online, but not from across country, rather from across town. The two of them lived just five miles apart. Jokingly, we have talked about it from the standpoint of "you could have met, if only you had been willing to get out more." But it was not that easy. Sure, in theory they probably could have met when they were out and running around, but if you talk to both and ask them the places they go and the people they know, the chances of actually having met were entirely unlikely.

He is a Baptist and she is a Catholic. He is a blue-collar worker, and she works for a dentists' office. He goes to football games and hangs with his friends, and she used to go to the bar with the girls. Although they both lived in the same small town and graduated from the same high school, none of his friends had ever met her, and none of her friends had ever met him or his friends.

The two of them were so close, and yet so far apart from one another.

The Internet was instrumental in bringing the two together. They were introduced to one another through their respective personal profiles on dating websites. After a couple of exchanged emails, they turned first to Yahoo Chat, and then they orchestrated a personal meet for dinner at a local restaurant. I guess you can say the rest is history.

After a nine-month courtship, the two were married, and they have been married now for two years.

Lessons To Be Learned

Ah yes, I am one of the guys who write about online dating. So, I got the idea to start asking questions. I wanted to know what if anything could have impacted this hookup in a negative way. Now and again, I will ask a question and wish later that I had just kept my mouth shut. In a way, this was one of those situations, and you will see why in a minute.

Both indicated that a picture on a profile is absolutely essential. Neither was willing to talk to anyone who hid behind a computer on the Internet. Had either one not included a picture, neither would have responded to the others' email.

Both had been doing the online dating thing for a couple years. So, both had scars from the experience.

She said that one should never lie in a profile. She said that when she chatted guys online or met them in person, she was keen to listen to everything she was told. She was looking for discrepancies between what was said in chat, in person and in the profile. She said that when she first started the online dating thing, she did not pay much attention to those things, but she later found that these little red flags were a good indication of bigger red flags that she would not want to discover later.

Both suggested one of my standard pieces of advice was completely valid. I have always said that we should get to know one another a bit better, before we start making commitments to one another.

She said that guys, who were quick to jump into a commitment, were not only nerdy, but also desperate for a good reason. He said that girls were quick to declare love or commitment usually turned out to be scammers looking to make a quick buck. He said that within days of the first declaration of love, she would always be asking for money, and she would pitch a fit if you told her no, after all she would say, the two of you shared something special.

She said there was two emails that she dreaded receiving from guys. She said any email that employed cheesy pick up lines would not be answered ever. She said that if I guy wanted her attention, he would need to give some thought to his emailed words. Second, she said that if she wanted to see a guy's male part, she would invite him to her house for the night. She did not want to see him in an email message.

He said there was two emails that he also dreaded receiving. He did not want to hear "I love you" at all, nor did he want to be spoken to in a condescending way. I asked him what he perceived to be "condescending". He said words like, "sweetie", "dear" and "honey" were immediate turn-offs, as he perceived those women to be professionals looking to get paid for their dates.

All Went Well To This Point, And Then...

You know I am the type of person who is not easily embarrassed. The interview had been going well, and then I asked the wrong question to the wrong person. And it all changed, just like that.

I asked my friend and his wife whether they had ever got together with someone just for fun, like a one-night-stand type arrangement. Both had said yes, and then I regretted having asked the question. My friend's wife indicated that she had one real good "friend with benefits", and as a single guy, I might enjoy some of the activities they liked doing.

If I had stopped here, then everything might have been all right, but I asked what she meant.

Immediately, the alarm went off in my brain signaling too much information! I turned beet red and she laughed. And to this day, I have never lived down that moment in time.

So, going on a fist date, a bit excited or should I say nervous or having fear of facing the unexpected or unacceptable. Well it happens and can be avoided too if you prepare yourself accordingly. Over a period you become more mature and know how to handle situation and react. You may get many sites advising you, giving you tips on dating, but how if I share my personal experience with you?

Make sure you make a right selection of outfit and accessories, as first impression has a very big impact. The first impression last forever in most of the cases or till you meet next time with a much notable change in you , well I don’t mean you wear your best party gown or suit in a outdoor lunch meet. This will be too loud and uncomfortable to both of you.

I only grow my Socrates beard and stay in the same pair of denim for 15 days, the time I am single and not looking. You can’t afford to be lethargic and cut down on toilettories and laundries once you initiated the divine hunt of ideal partner or already planning a honeymoon. It’s a universal fact that most of the women in the whole world, irrespective of their culture and upbringing crave for beauty and cleanliness, it’s one of the basic instincts they have.

Women need more mental preparation for the first date as they start judging a man with his presence and visible personality to judge a man which is like interiors by the great looking window pane. Man exhibit more patience then they have on the first date, I would say it is natural and they tend to loose the same patience as relation goes stronger.

The male and female basic attitude developed over ages will come to better terms slowly, it will take some more time for men to understand the sensitivity women possess, and women will understand the aggressiveness men live with. Am I elaborating it too much, well knowing the basis behavioral characteristics is the first important thing , the same principle of life will let you overcome common misunderstanding arising from the basic difference of attitude and behaviors of man and women around the world.

A first date with known person of not much known always have surprises waiting for you. If all goes well and there is an ideal partner as a pleasant surprise in front of you then you need remember the following not apply the and you have a gala

A Wrong date

If you make a date and then realize it's a mistake, don't be afraid to cancel, as long as it's not at the last minute. Better to be honest and disappoint the guy or the lady than subject yourself to an evening you'll hate.

A Blind Date

If it's a blind date set up by friends, or for some other reason you've never actually met the person you're going out with, keep your escape options open by meeting in a public place for "just a cup of coffee." Be "on the run" when you show up, to be pre-excused for a fast getaway if you don't like him or her. If you can tell in the first fifteen minutes that there's no way you ever want to see this person again, don't prolong the agony. Say something like, "Look, something tells me we're not a match made in heaven. I'm glad we met, but I really don't want to waste your time. Let's both get back to our busy lives."

Eassssie….

If you are meeting someone you know than do some informal outing instead of a full-evening first date, enjoy some lighter moment by having a coffee at river-side in the afternoon or maybe some popping corns in a nearby multiplex watching your favorite actor in action. If it’s a holiday then start with breakfast or at least lunch to have an open-ended date for the day.

Qualifying round

Make a genuine effort to know each other, ask question with good eye contact and sincerity. Do not throw your intro thru riddles, make is simple and to the point. Show interest in knowing each other but don’t make the conversation too

A white trail to talk

If your date asks you about your ex, and you can't avoid the subject, talk in a gracious and kind way. If you badmouth your ex, (or exes), the person listening thinks "Why were you so stupid as to be with someone who was such a jerk?" Or, "Were they that awful when you met them, or did you drive them to act that way?"

Start fresh, reap good thought

Men and women both are drawn to people who are enjoying their lives. Your date is not your therapist. Don't go into your troubles. As I've explained elsewhere, no one wants to be around a depressed man or woman, unless they themselves are too sick to have a good relationship with.

No, let’s be friends

Don't be shy about cutting a first date short if you don't think you'll get along. If you just know that the person isn't right for you, and you're having a terrible time, you aren't stuck. Say something like I suggested above, then, as you're leaving, be friendly and offer to help each other. "You know, I do have a friend who might be right for you, and I'll be happy to fix you up. Maybe you know someone who would like to meet me."

Well if everything goes in right direction conforming to the general or exceptional laws of attraction, then you don’t need to follow the versus of L’Omens,

What Women Really Want! And Should You Talk To Strangers For Dating?

What Women Really Want!

Have you ever had a woman say to you “let’s just be friends,” or “I’m not ready to date” or just plain ignore your phone calls even though you felt things were going “great?”

It happens to men all the time, and when it does, we’re left confused, and even a bit pissed off. Why do women do this to us?

The answer is simple: because we’re not giving her what she wants.

What women want really is very simple, but due to conditioning by society few men really understand it. See, we’re all brought up to believe that women want a guy who’s sweet, kind, and sensitive, a guy who showers them with compliments, treats her like a Queen and does everything possible to “keep her happy.”

What’s interesting is, when we do all this as men, something just doesn’t “feel right.” We can’t put our finger on it, and we do what society preaches, but in the back of our mind something just “isn’t right.” And the outcomes we get further reinforce that fact—no matter how sweet, kind, and nice we are, she always goes for the “jerk.”

Why? Because the jerk, in a very dysfunctional way, gives her what she wants: a powerful feeling of attraction. And because she rarely gets that from other men, she’ll spend time with the jerk, even as her world crashes down around her.

Get this, and get it good: women want a man who creates attraction for them. That’s it—nothing more, nothing less. When you think about it, at first it seems like a dumb statement… but as you get more in depth you realize how profound it is.

Why? Because it forces you to continually ask this question to yourself whenever you’re with a woman: “am I doing the things that create attraction with her?” If the answer is “yes,” then you keep doing what you’re doing… if it’s “no” you’d better change it quick.

Few men ever ask themselves this question. Instead they ask themselves “does she like me?” or other questions that force them into nice-guy behavior. Even worse, most men ask themselves no questions at all, adopting an attitude of “I hope it happens this time” which leads to inaction.

So, as you go throughout your day, actively ask yourself, “am I creating attraction with my current set of behavior?” You’ll be amazed how differently women respond to you when you do this. They can tell you’re “different” and treat you as such.

Should You Talk To Strangers For Dating?

When you were a kid did you parents ever tell you not to “talk to strangers?” Well, most people heard that growing up, and when you were a kid that’s probably good advice. Not much good is going to come from kids talking to strange adults.

However, a funny thing happens with childhood advice- it doesn’t leave when you grow up. It stays with you, seeping into your subconscious mind, affecting your actions even though you’re no longer a kid.

Think about the “don’t talk to strangers” advice. While it was useful as a kid, it’s pretty bad advice when you’re older, especially when it comes to success in business and success with women.

In business you have to talk to strangers, you have to convert them from strangers to people you know. A salesman who is afraid of talking to strangers is going to have a very short career.

When it comes to attracting women, the art of talking to strangers is almost a must-have. If you limit your universe of women to those you already know, chances are you have a pretty small universe. Expand it to those you don’t know, and you have the whole world to choose from.

Whether you approach a woman or she approaches you, you’re going to have to talk to a stranger. There’s no getting around it—in fact, it’s a skill you should embrace and master.

The first thing to do is simply re-frame in your head that talking to strangers is now a good thing, that you can’t get what you want out of life without dealing with others.

The second thing to do is to simply get in the habit of starting conversations with other people, getting them to talk about themselves. What you’ll find is, most people are starving for attention, and that when you get them to talk about themselves, you really don’t have to do much talking yourself… they won’t shut up.

When you view talking to strangers a simply a skill to be mastered, the fear tends to dissipate—when you start getting results (especially with sexy women), you’ll actually look forward to talking to strangers… and you’ll discover they ain’t so strange after all.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://hispanic-dating.blogspot.com/2009/03/what-women-really-want-and-should-you.html' title='What Women Really Want! It is hard to get comfortable with the person you are about to meet, when you have no other connection to that person beyond an anonymous internet connection.

In the real world of dating, before you go on a first date, you probably know:

* Where someone works;

* Where they live;

* Who some of their friends are;

* Where they go to hang out;

* What they drive...

Sure, you cannot tell a lot about a person from information such as this, but you can sure tell a friend these things in the event that something goes awry on your first date. It is always better to be safe than sorry.

Your friends are able to know something real and truthful about the person you are about to go on a date with, because you are able to learn that information before you go on your first date.

But, when you are doing the online dating thing, you can chat or email back and forth with a potential date, and even after several months of talking, you could potentially still not know the first thing about the person you are ready to meet. For all you know, they could be pathological liars.

With online dating, it is difficult to really know anything about the person you want to meet, UNLESS, you join a dating website that has systems in place to verify the information that a person gives online. For example, does he or she really work where they say? Do they live where they say? Is that picture on their profile really what they look like in person?

But, if like me you have been around online dating for a number of years, it is really difficult to find a website that offers systems to enable the dating website's management team to verify any kind of information about their members.

When I took the decision to start an online dating site, I wanted to set up a system that would allow our management team to verify information about our members, so that we could offer our members a safer online dating environment. On our website, with our latest service upgrade, we finally have the ability to verify information about our members, providing our members a much more honest and safe dating community.

Although members are not required to verify their personal information, we do give our users several ways to verify their personal information. When a member verifies their personal information, we show our other members a logo which identifies what information has been verified in the user's profile.

Online dating should lead to fun and fulfillment, and hopefully, we have been able to introduce an element to our site that will let you see our dating community as one of the safer dating websites available online.

Free Single Dating Sites Connected Singles Online

The free single services were connected singles on line seek the love and the relationships on the Internet, a short-term or long-term companion. I’d never seen it before, and I wanted to compare it to the latest one.

What struck me most about that movie were how the men were portrayed—strong, decisive, confident, and most of all comfortable with authority… a stark contrast to how men are portrayed today.

If you want to see a great example of how to be an attractive man, pick up any movie from this era (along with any Sean Connery James Bond movies). Watch one, then watch a contemporary movie or TV show, and you will be ASTOUNDED at the difference.

I knew it was bad, but until I watched War of the Worlds (it’s been awhile since I watched a movie from that era) I didn’t know how bad it really was.

There is good news, however—the characteristics that created attraction back then, still work today… in fact, they work even better. Why? Because they are so rare—today’s women rarely get to experience them because the world is full of whiney babies and wusses… the “real man” is a rarity.

So, if you want a primer on how to be a man who naturally attracts women, turn to the past, pick up some movies from that era and take on the characteristics of the men… you’ll be astounded at the immediate results you get from women. It’s like throwing food to a starving crowd.

What To Say To Women For A Date

I used to be a total wreck when it came to talking to women. It’s true—before I became the “King,” I was a total dunce around women, making every mistake in the book before I discovered what works.

That’s good news for you guys, because you get to stand on my shoulders and learn from all the mistakes I made. That way, instead of spending years learning by trial and error, you can put to use in 15 minutes what it took me years to discover.

Now I used to be weak in a lot of areas with women, but the one I used to be weakest in was initiating conversation. Obviously this is a crucial link in that attraction chain, and if you can’t start—and continue—a conversation that leads to attraction, you won’t attract women.

Here’s what most guys do, and what I used to be guilty of myself. They see an attractive woman, and start thinking to themselves, “Wow, she looks good, but I don’t know what to say. What if I say something silly, and she rejects me, or laughs at me, or humiliates me?”

Here’s an even bigger mistake most guys make—they think the solution to this is to have some kind of pre-planned line, opener or comment that will magically create attraction and interest. The problem is, they carry the same mindset and self talk with them, and the pre-planned comment falls right on its face, not because of the words spoken, but because of the mindset behind the words.

Keep in mind women pick up, and make decisions based on, men’s emotional states. If she senses doubt, desperation, or an ulterior motive, she won’t give you the time of day.

If however, she senses strength, confidence and authority, she is literally forced by biology to respond with attraction even if you just said the stupidest thing in the world.

So what does a MAN say to a woman to create attraction? Anything he pleases. I never think about what I’m going to say to a woman. If I see one I think might have a bit of potential, I’ll say whatever the heck I please. I may make a comment about what’s happening around us, I may say something about what she’s wearing, or I may just say, “What’s your name?” in an authoritative tone, with a hint of naughtiness.

I have no ulterior motive when I do this. I just talk to women, show a little authority, confidence, and naughtiness, and if I like her responses I allow her to spend time with me. That’s my attitude, and it transcends any words that come out of my mouth.

So, what does a man say to a woman when he first meets her? Whatever the heck he wants to.

If This Surprises You About Dating, You’re in Big Trouble and How to Get Her Wondering If YOU Like Her… For a Change

If This Surprises You About Dating, You’re In Big Trouble

A get a lot of correspondence from guys that goes something like this: “I met this woman, we hit it off so I asked her out- and I was surprised when she said yes!”

What usually follows this is a story about the woman flaking, or a question as to why there wasn’t a second meeting after the first one.

Here’s why this happens: because you were “surprised she said yes,” you doubt your ability to create attraction with her. You believe you’re going to fail. And when you believe you’re going to fail you will.

This applies doubly so to creating attraction with women. Why? Because women instantly pick up on what you’re feeling inside. If you’re feeling naughty, playful, and confident, she feels that and it creates attraction. But if it shifts to doubt, even for a second, she picks up on it, and you’re done—the attraction is gone, which leads to flaking and failure.

Women don’t consciously do this. They make decisions on what they’re feeling inside, and act according to that feeling. If you want her to spend time with you, you need to make her feel attraction based on your own emotional state.

The same thing applies when you start thinking, “I wonder if she likes me…” Again, that’s self doubt and it kills attraction before it ever has a chance.

You need to develop the expectation, the belief that women are attracted to you. If you give her the opportunity to spend time with you, you must expect her to seize that opportunity. She’ll pick up on this belief, translate it to confidence, and feel attraction for you.

The only time you should be surprised is if a woman doesn’t accept the opportunity to spend more time with you. But, don’t worry, it doesn’t mean you doubted yourself if this happens, all it means is she had bad taste—and who wants to spend time with a woman who has bad taste, anyways?

What you expect to happen, will happen. So, expect success!

How To Get Her Wondering If YOU Like Her… For A Change

I hear from a lot of guys who ask, “How do I know if she likes me?” They always want to know if there’s subtle body language hints they should look for, or some other “magic signal” that indicates “female liking.”

I always tell them this is a bad way to think because it gives her the authority and control in the interaction, something women can’t stand. She should be wondering if YOU “like her!”

Why is this important? Think about it for a minute—what emotion are guys feeling when they wonder “does she like me?” Attraction! Aha… could this be useful to us?

Absolutely. When a woman wonders, “does he like me?” she’s attracted. She wouldn’t wonder that otherwise because she wouldn’t care. So, the question is, how do we get her to wonder if YOU like her?

One of the best ways is by engaging in unpredictable, “naughty boy” behavior, saying and doing things you shouldn’t, and so on.

But another great way is by touching her the right way, for just a tiny bit longer than a “friend” would… but not as long as a “waldo” does. Here’s what I mean: if I shake her hand, I look her in the eye, smile my naughty boy smile, and hold and squeeze it just a bit longer than I should. But then I let it go.

If I give her a hug, I do the same, holding it longer than a friend, but less so than a guy begging her favor. I let it go just before she wants me to, which creates uncertainty. And uncertainty creates attraction because she starts wondering, “does he like me? I think he held my hand longer than if he wanted to be friends, but then he let it go… what does it mean?”

When you get a woman thinking about you in this way, and you build anticipation, you can create serious, rapid attraction. Women love this, but rarely get it because most men are too afraid, or too eager. Fall right in the “sweet spot of uncertainty” and you’ll have more attraction than you can handle.

Are “Categories” Controlling Your Dating Life? Massive amounts of information are presented to us daily, and as a result, we have to come up with ways to simplify the use of that information.

One of the ways we do it, is by categorizing other people, and then relating to them based on that category.

For example, if a guy with flashing lights on his car and a badge on his chest pulls you over, you’re going to act a certain way towards him. Why? Because you automatically put him in the “cop category.” If you see the exact same guy in the gym working out, you’ll act totally different in his presence. Why? Because the category you put him in changed.

Categories are crucial when it comes to being successful with women. Consider this: how does a woman treat you if you’re in her “nice guy” or “friend” category?

Now, how does her behavior change towards you if you’re her boss? It’s different. What if she puts you in the “naughty boy” category? Now her behavior towards you changes dramatically.

Whenever you meet a woman for the first time, you must do two things: get her to put you in the category YOU desire (so her behavior towards you is what YOU want), and you must AVOID the things that put you in the category you do not want to be in. The key is to do both—most guys try to be the “naughty boy,” but they still do nice guy things. They get put into the “nice guy” category because they failed to avoid doing the things that trigger that category.

Here’s a secret: sit down, and go through all your past interactions with women. Write down all the behavior that has caused them to put you in an undesirable category. Then, work on eliminating this behavior IN ADDITION to adding in the behavior that puts you in a desirable category

Then, whenever you talk to a woman, automatically ask yourself this question: “What category do I want her to put me in, and which ones do I want her to avoid?” Then let your actions flow from there, continuing to ask yourself, “Which category will this action put me in?” You’ll find this “thinking in categories” is a massively useful way to shortcut your success. Control the category, and you control the behavior.

Is It Bad To Date More Than One Woman At The Same Time?

Whenever someone opts out of my list, they get the chance to leave comments, and some of the parting comments I get are hilarious. Some are quite complimentary, others are quite rude, and some tell me I’m going straight to hell because I advocate sinning with more than one women. Those always crack me up the most.

Why? Because nowhere do I advocate a particular lifestyle. Unlike many of these guys who really want to force their philosophy on the world, I simply provide information, leaving it up to the individual to decide how to best use it for himself.

But that does bring up the practical question—is dating multiple women a good or bad thing? The answer is, it depends on where you are in life.

If you’ve ever read Think and Grow Rich, you’ll find that Napoleon Hill actually addresses this issue, in two ways. The first one has to do with why men fail in life. Hill says the second biggest reason why men fail is improper selection of mate. They tend to take what comes along instead of selecting a woman who will support them in reaching their goals.

The other issue that Hill brings up is, in his study, most men do not achieve financial success until their 50’s because… they are spending all their time and “sexual energy” chasing women instead of “transmuting” that energy into success.

In my experience I have found Hill’s advice to be true. If you spend all your time dating multiple women, you will not have much time for success in other areas, if that’s what you desire. I can also tell you for a fact that having a woman in your life who understands and supports what you want to accomplish is a huge benefit.

However, I do think there is a time and place to date multiple women; in fact I think it’s important that you do. Although Hill never says it, the reason most men choose a woman improperly is because they take the first one that comes along. If you date multiple women, and develop the skill of creating attraction, you’ll be able to make a decision of the type of woman you want in your life, based on experience.

You’ll know what kind of behaviors you want and don’t want, plus you’ll know that IF you do decide to go with one woman, that you’re able to attract the one you want, not one you just settled for. Most men fail because they settled for a woman that just came along, not the one they wanted, and that has a very bad affect on their self image.

So, in a strange way, my answer to the question of “one woman or multiple women” is BOTH—at the right time and place for you, of course.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://hispanic-dating.blogspot.com/2009/02/are-categories-controlling-your-dating.html' title='Are “Categories” Controlling Your Dating Life? There are a lot of guys on this list, and it is always an interesting exercise to see the different reactions of people to the exact same email, or the exact same information.

This, of course, has to do with what’s called “map or model of the world”—everyone gets the same input, but the reaction (output) is different. Why? Because how the individual views the world governs response to behavior. Your map or model of the world determines your outcomes in life. Luckily, if you’re not getting the results you want, you can simply change your map or model and the results will follow.

Today I want to talk about what I call “failure maps.” Every now and then my assistant Jennifer forwards me an email from a guy who should be attractive to women saying, “it didn’t work for him.” And then she forwards me several emails with exciting success stories from guys, who by any stretch of the imagination have a lot to overcome (looks, weight, age, etc.)

What’s the difference between the guy “it didn’t work for” and the guy with the success story who had a heck of a lot more to overcome? It’s not the information because they both got the same product and receive the same emails. In other words, same input different output. The difference lies in their respective maps. One guy’s map is oriented towards success, the other guy’s toward failure.

The successful guy asks, “How can I make this work for me?” The guy who failed says, “it won’t work for me, because…” One guy takes responsibility for his outcomes; the other has already decided the information (and not him) is to blame. One very interesting thing I have noticed is, the “it won’t work because…” guys send in their email very soon (usually 2 days) after they’ve gotten the materials. The success stories usually come in several weeks later. Why? Because most of the guys who succeed, fail at first … but they ask themselves “how can I make it work for me?” and go out and test a slightly different approach predicated on the information they got from me—their map dictates they do so.

If you look at the “it won’t work for because…” guys, you’ll see this carries over into other areas of their life. If someone tells them about a new fitness routine they say, “this won’t work for me because…” If someone tells them about starting an internet business they say, “it won’t work for me because…” If someone tells them they can make money investing in real estate they say, “it won’t work for me because…” This is a failure map, and if you hear your brain telling you this, you immediately need to interrupt this pattern with, “no, the right question is, how can I make this work for me?”

How do I know this? Because I used to have a bout with “it won’t work for me because…” demon. But, the instant I switched the question to, “how can I make this work?” my results started changing. This slight “re-mapping” process has allowed me to experience some major successes the old “it won’t work because…” never would have. Oh, it still crops up, but as soon as I remap the process, I usually do find a way to make it work for me, and the truth is, it is usually much easier than I thought it would be.

So, if you’re not currently getting the results you want to, have a look at your internal map, and pay attention to what your brain is telling you. Replace any “I can’ts…” or “it won’ts” with “how can I?” and you will be amazed at your external results. I sure was!

The Meaning of Meaning With Women and Do “Affirmations” Work For Dating?

The Meaning Of Meaning With Women

On with today’s episode. What does it mean when a woman smiles at you? Or when she flips her hair at you? Or when she ignores you? Do you know? Or does it even matter?

Today I’m going to share one of the most powerful things I’ve ever learned about “meaning,” something that can truly liberate your emotions around women, something that will allow you to never feel rejected or beat down again.

Here it is: there is no meaning to any event, except that meaning we assign to it. AND, we are free to choose to assign an event any meaning we want. Events have no meaning, we as humans are meaning-makers.

Now you guys who’ve done the Forum/EST deal will recognize that immediately. And while I’m not a huge fan of Forum/EST (nor a huge detractor), this is one of the things they teach that is profound.

Let me give you an example. Let’s say you’re dating a woman, and she suddenly dumps you for another guy. The event is, she quit dating you to see another guy, a real jerk. But what’s the meaning? Well, it’s whatever you assign it to be. Most guys however assign the meaning of “I am worthless as a man, I’m a bad boyfriend, and she’ll never like me again.” How useful is that meaning? Not very, and in fact, it’s destructive.

Now, consider this. The same event occurs. But you choose to assign the meaning of, “She disqualified herself from my life, giving me the opportunity to upgrade the position of girlfriend.” Or, how about, “She’s temporarily blinded by the cocaine high of attraction, and when that naturally wears off, she’ll be left with the embarrassment of hurting me, and dating a real jerk.” Much better meanings, huh? And because you’ve chosen a much better meaning to an event, you can make much better decisions, and control your emotional state instead of letting it be controlled.

Now, this isn’t going to make the bad feelings associated with the event immediately go away, but it WILL make them go away much faster AND it will allow you to come up with a plan of action to create events with a more favorable outcome.

So, don’t waste time wondering what a woman’s actions mean—they are simply an event you can assign a meaning to. I’d recommend assigning the most useful one, and then taking action from there.

Do “Affirmations” Work For Dating?

If you pick up any self help book, more than likely you’ll find a section on “affirmations.” What’s an affirmation? It’s simply a saying about a future reality you want to create yourself, something you repeat over and over until it becomes “real.” For example, an affirmation about getting rich would be “I am a millionaire” or “I am becoming a millionaire each and everyday.”

The real question is, of course, are affirmations useful? That’s what the man who sent in the following email wants to know, and the answer is both yes and no.

Hi John,

I wanted to ask a question about affirmations. How do they work, in terms of how do they become a part of you? I wrote some affirmations that I would say in my head and I would also play a recording of myself saying these affirmations. I did this for about two weeks, and afterwards the only that happened was that I didn't need to read it off a piece of paper anymore. I.e. I parroted the words without feeling the feelings. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Justin

JA: Thanks for the question, Justin. In and of themselves affirmations are not worth a hill of beans. All you’re doing is saying something to yourself you know is not true. You’re BS’ing yourself and your mind knows it. Nothing will ever “happen” due to words alone—requisite action is required.

Now, coupling affirmations with deliberate action is a different story. But, a better story is visualizations coupled with action. Using what Maxwell Maltz called the “Theater of the Mind,” and constantly visualizing a desired outcome is very powerful—the Green Bay Packers used it back in the 60’s to win five NFL titles (although they did cheat in the Ice Bowl with Dallas, false starting on Bart Starr’s so-called touchdown), and many, many businesspeople have it used to help build their fortunes.

Visualizing success is an important tool, and you should use it. In my own personal experience I’ve found visualization to be a much more useful tool than affirmations, although I do know people who have done well with affirmations.

The real truth though is this: if you want to achieve success in a particular area what you have to do is get good information, take action and implement that information, get a result, measure the result, then take action based on that result. That’s what all success people do, emotionally distancing themselves from the results, viewing them as only feedback on the path to their goal. That’s the real key to success. Visualizations and affirmations can be useful tools, but without deliberate action they are worthless.

Is it Bad to Date More Than One Woman at the Same Time? Control the category, and you control the behavior.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://hispanic-dating.blogspot.com/2009/01/is-it-bad-to-date-more-than-one-woman.html' title='Is it Bad to Date More Than One Woman at the Same Time? The main attraction is you! The date is just an excuse to be together and experience something new. Some of these ideas may seem lame, but girls generally like them because they are creative and unique. They’ve been on plenty dates to movies, bowling, etc. Going out to eat is always good, but usually you need something to do afterwards. Here are some ideas!

1) Buy a kite and fly it. Kites are cheap and you can find them just about anywhere. Go together and pick one out (that’s part of the fun) and take it to a park. You’ll have to put it together as well. If you are really adventurous you could download plans from the internet and the two of you could build one from scratch!

2) Color. Go pick out coloring books and colors, then take them somewhere and color. You can also do Mad-Libs. It sounds cheesy, I know, but it’s fun!

3) Go to a large toy store. Check out the toys, maybe even play with some.

4) Make a meal for your parents. Do everything together, including looking through cook books for recipes, buying the ingredients, preparing it, etc.

5) Play old video games. At just about any store that sells toys they have cheap retro video games that look just like a controller. You plug the controller into your TV and on it are several classic games. The old games are strange and hard, but they are fun to play and make fun of. Compete for the highest score! Cook some frozen pizza to eat while you play.

6) Window shop. Go to a part of town that has a bunch of locally owned shops in a row. Just walk down the row and explore each of them. There are some really cool, strange, and dumb shops out there.

7) Take a picnic to the lake/pond. You can surprise her with the food you made, or you can plan and make the food together as part of the fun. Don’t forget to feed the ducks!

8) Look at model homes. Go to different home building companies and tour their model homes. Pretend you are married and come up with a detailed story, the more specific and ridiculous the better. Make up a different story for each place you go to.

9) Go to a playground at night. They are usually pretty empty so you can do whatever you want. Swing-sets are fun no matter how hold you are, and so are big slides and merry-go-rounds. The key is that it gives you something to do while you talk. You might even steal a kiss or two! ;)

10) Buy a toy for your niece/nephew. If you have a really young relative, you can go shopping together for a fun toy to give him/her. Then you can “help” him/her play with it. Be sure and get the parents’ permission first! Also, you might want to make sure you both like kids.

11) Get a magic set. Learn the tricks and show them to each other.

12) Go on a scavenger hunt. Challenge another couple. Use a camera to take pictures of as many things on the list as possible within a set time limit. If you’d like, you and the other couple can write lists for each other. Just don’t reveal the list until the start of the hunt. Writing the list is a fun bonus activity you can do together. Just make sure it’s creative. For example, instead of saying “find an Arby’s” say “find a giant hat”.

13) Covet each other’s oxen. Oh wait. Just read the book of Exodus. Don’t do that.

Tips and Advice For Finding Romance on Free London Dating Websites

here are several free London dating sites which you can go to in order to find your perfect date in London. Some cater for lesbian dating, others for gays, and nearly all have a section for straight people looking for a date. There are a number of pointers and tips I would offer in order to get the most out of these types of sites.

Firstly, you need to ensure that your profile is as complete as possible. I would always recommend that you upload a photo, as most potential partners will want to see what you look like, and that you are a genuine person on the free London dating site in question. Make sure that you upload a recent photo of yourself – there is nothing worse than posting a picture of yourself when you were 25 with lots of hair, and then going on a date with someone on the basis of her seeing that photo, when in reality you are 38, balding, and carrying around a few excess pounds. This is just plain dishonest, and you are pretty much guaranteed that the date will go pear shaped, and you will definitely not get your leg over.

Nevertheless, you still need to show yourself in a good light on these free London dating websites. Ask someone to take a photo of you, and make sure that you wear clothes that are clean and have recently been ironed. This is especially important for guys, as girls love a neatly dressed man, and it will make a very good first impression, especially over the internet, where you do not have the opportunity to dazzle her with your witty banter and conversation.

On that same note, when you are completing your profile on free London dating sites, it is important to be as honest as possible. If you smoke, have any children, have any nasty rashes, or embarrassing habits, now is the time to come clean. You never know, you may find a partner with exactly the same characteristics as yourself. If you lie in your profile, then sure will be sure to get find out, and then any second or third date just isn’t going to happen.

However, don’t forget that you still have to sell yourself on these free London dating sites. So be confident, don’t be shy to leave anything out which could be seen to be attractive to members of the opposite sex. For example, if you like bird watching, whilst all your mates down the pub might wind you up about this, some girls might find this attractive, in that you have a sensitive side, as someone who cares about nature. And just think, if you met a girl who found bird watching an attractive quality, you could go on romantic bird watching dates together.

And one tip for the lesbians out there who are looking for free London dating, on lesbian dating sites. Not all women are after a 200 pound heffer with 86 pieces of metal coming out of various body orifices. So go easy on the body accessories, try and smile for the photos that you are uploading. And before you know it, you too will find London lesbian love.
